NAKSHATRA BALAN

       There are many means,which help in making predictions or help in understanding the “PLALITA” (fortelling the future with the help of the positions of the planet in the twelve houses of the birth chart) branch of Astrology.Nakshatra (Constellation) is one of the means to understand it,because even the planets are powerful or powerless or weak due to the effects of the Nakshatras.There are 28 Nakshatras in all including Abhijith star but now days the usage of Abhijith star is less.

1)ASHWINI: A person born in this Nakshatra is inclined towards serving others ,is humble by nature,is truthful,and has  a contented family life.

2)APABHARANI:If a person is born in this Nakshatra,he is cruel,ungrateful and no sense of  indebtedness,achieves notoriety,fears water ,is restless and wicked.

3)KRITIKA:A person born in this Nakshatra is brilliant and radiant,a learne person,clever,possess wealth, and accomplishes seemingly impossible tasks.

4)ROHINI: A Person born in this Nakshatra is efficient in religious activities,earns his livelihood through agricultural occupation,is endowed with beauty,is a master-conversationalist,a genius and efficient in arts.

5)MRIGASHIRA:A person  born in this Nakshatra   is a sharp shooter,loved by the king and follows a vitruous path.

6)AARDRA: A person born in this Nakshatra has a great appetite,is of restless nature and cruel.

7)PUNARVASU:A person born in this Nakshatra has a numerous friends ,is a practitioner of sacred texts and scriptures,possesses wealth and vehicles etc.

8)POOSHYA: A person born in this Nakshatra ,he has a healthybody,obeys parents and are religious,humble,fortunate and possess wealth and vehicles etc.

9)AASHLESHA:A person born in this ‘Aashlesha Nakshatra’ is a born wanderer i.e travels unnecessarily wicked,causes anguish to others,spends hos wealth for evil purposes,and is s sensualist.

   (i)If a person is born in the first part of this Nakshatra ,he is impotent.

   (ii)If a person is born in the second part of the Aashlesha Nakshatra,he is a servant always serving others.

    (iii)If a person born in the third part of the Aashlesha Nakshatra,he suffers from diseases.

(iv)A person born in the fourth part of the Aashlesha Nakshatra,though fortunate,has a few years of his life cut short because of a “GANDA” (inauspicious combination of the Nakshatras ) at the end of this Nakshatra.Therefore,irrespectin=ve of the part of the Aa shlesha Nakshetra in which a person is born,an effort should be made to pacify this Nakshatra by performing the required rites.

10)MAGHA: A person born in this Nakshatra is strong-hearted,respects his father,is a learned mam,intelligent and is a winner.

11)PURVA PHALGUNI:A person born in this Nakshatra is very brave,fosters many people,clever but cunning,lusty and rough.

12)UTTARA PHALGUNI:A person born in this nakshatra is charitable,kind-hearted,posssess patience,and achieves fame.

13)HASTA: A person born in this nakshatra is famous,is religious minded,respects Brahmins and learned people and possesses wealth.

14)CHITRA: A person born in this nakshatra  defeats his enemies gallantly,is an expert in politics and extraordinary intelligence.

15)SWATI: A person born in this nakshatra is endowed with tremendous beauty,flirts with many women,is jolly and receives wealth from the king.

16)VISHAKHA: A person born in this nakshatra is religious minded having inclination towards performing rites and rituals etc. is of unstable nature and unfriendly.

17)ANURADHA: A person born in this nakshatra possesses luster and splendor ,achieves fame,is enthusiastic, a destroyer of his enemies,an expert in many forms of arta and sensualist.

18)JYESHTRA: (i)If a person born in the first part of this Nakshatra,he is full of lustre and splendor ,achieves fame and greatness ,is rich,brave ,a hero and an excellent conversionalist.

(ii)If born in the second part,he is of very cruel nature and quarelling nature.

(iii) If a  person born in the thied part,he follows the evil path.

(iv)Althopugh a person born in the fourth part,has many sons,but because of the influence of the “Ganda Nakshatra”, it causes anguish and pain.

 Therfore it is necessary to pacify the planets by performing the required rituals and rites.

19)MOOLA NAKSHATRA: Except the fourth part,the initial three parts of this Nakshatra are considered inauspicious and a person born in these periods caus destruction to his family as follows:

(i)If born in the first part of this Nakshatra,he causes loss to his father.

(ii)If born in the second part of this Nakshatra,he causes loss to his mother.

(iii)If born in the third part of this Nakshatra,he causes loss to the family wealth.

20)POORVASHADA:One born in Purvashadha Nakshatr will be firm in friendship,modest, will have many sons,lead men,be intelligent,will consume savoury food ,will have pleasure from wife and will be dear to the king.

21)UTTRASHADA:Should one be born in Uttarashadha Nakshatra,one will like fun,be modest,will have many enemies,be distressed,will have distinguished knowledge ,will wander,will have many wives and be kind.

22)SHRAVANA:A person born in this Nakshatra is well versed in the sacred texts and scriptures,has many sons and friends, and destroys his enemies.

23)DHANISHTHA: A person born in this nakshatra is of excellent behavior,p[ractical,rich,powerful and kind-hearted.

24)SATBHISHAK: A person born in this nakshatra is brave,clever and destroys his enemies.

25)POORVA BHADRAPADA: A person born in this nakshatra has full control over his sense organs,is intelligent,an expert in all forms,and destroys his enemies.

26)UTTARA BHADRAPADA: A person born in this nakshatra is  rich and famous,and follows the virtuous path.

SURYAN:

                            Ruler of all the planets ,Sun called surya and Aditya is believed to be the source of vitality.The planets move around Surya and are dependent on its energy for existence of life forms.Surya brings success,intellect,wisdom,fame and wealth  and is the ruler of zodiac sign Leo.Good placement of Surya can rise to fame in the area,field or even the whole world.If ill-placed in the horoscope it is an indication of  physical as well as possible,mental or emotional problems,pessimistic attitude,humiliation at the hands of others and impoverished conditions of life.Aditya,Ravi,Arka,Prabhakara,Marthanda etc ,are the 12 names for Surya.

KUJA:

                       Surya is the king of solar system and kuja is the commander.Kuja indicates martial powers,martial arts and influence energy,drive,administrative spirits and leadership abilities.Both Surya and Kuja produce heat,the difference being Surya has a life preserving heat and the explosive heat generated by Kuja might endanger the lives.Kuja rules over the bone marrow and generation of red blood corpuscles,human blood,and the disease resistant power of human body.Kuja rules Aries,openly aggresive ,and Scorpio,secretive in nature.Angaraka, Kanaka,Raktha,Vakra etc are some of the 11 names of  Kuja.

         Kuja takes about 45 days to travel one sign.He is the Bhaatrukaraka or planet connected with brother.

BUDHA:

                         Budha is a neutral planet that changes according to its placement in signs and houses.It is the nearest planet to surya and thus is restless,fast changing and fickle in nature.It rules education ,writers,businessman,intestines,lungs and nervous system.Both guru and  buddha represent human intelligence,Budha indicates an immature side of intelligence as compared to the more mature one of guru.It rules all means of communication and intermediation.Body parts indicated by Budha: Budha rules over the arms ,hearing system, and the nervous system.It is a dual natured planet and owns the dual natured signs,Virgo and Gemini.Saumya ,Prabhasutha,Chaandri,Rauhineya etc..are a few names of the Budha.

GURU:

                        Brahaspati also known as Guru,responsible for luck and fortune, the planet brings success ,fortune and fame. The largest planet in the solar system,Guru it is associated with the expansion ,growth, and opportunity.The position of Guru in one’s chart serves as an indicator of one’s faith,confidence,buoyancy,higher mind,wisdom,optimism and generosity.Guru’s action is to expand ,preserve and increase on all levels.A well placed Guru is associated with the spiritual ,philosophical and intellectual realms.The ill placement of Guru might lead to exaggeration,delusions of grandeur and depletion of energies.Guru is the ruler of the fire sign Sagittarius.Guru,Jeeva,Aarya,Brihaspati are some of the 16 names for Guru.

RAHU AND KETU:

            Rahu and Ketu have been considered in Indian astrology as equivalent to planets or grahas.they are not physical bodies but only mathematically calculated sensitive points having immense influence over the nativities on the  earth.

  Moon in it’s orbit,on a northerly couse from south to north,crosses the ecliptic.This point of intersection is known as Ragu or Dragon’s head.180 degrees away from this point,moon on its southerly course,from north to south,again crosses the eclipitic.This point is known as Kethu or Dragon’s tail.Moon’s orbit is also inclined to the ecliptic and hence on each such intersections the Sun,Earth and moon are not in a straight line and eclipse does not accured.

        As Rahu and Kethu are only sensitive points having no physical entity of their own,they are called Shadowist planets or Chchaaya grahas.

        The sun and moon are the pillars of life.While the sun signifies the body the Moon signifies the mind.On this two points of intersections their combined effects is bound to be immense.

RAHU:

   Rahu or Dragons Head or North Node represents , foreigners,foreign countries,foreign travel,engineering and the technical traders,smoke,old men,grand parents,theft ,gambling,drinking,nonconformists,the underworld and the bad elements in the society.Its color is black,metal mixed –metal and gem is Gomedh.Rahu takes approximately 1-1/2 years to travel a sign and hence completes the round  of the zodiac in 18 years.

KETU:

Ketu or dragons tail or south node represents grand parents,technical traders,spiritual inclinations,superstitions and electronics.Its colour is brown and gem is cat’s eye.Ketu is always in the opposite sign to Rahu i.e. exactly 180 degrees away.Ketu also take approximately 1-1/2 years to travel to travel a sign and hence compleyes the round of the zodiac in 18 years.

  Each of these 9 planets produce different results and at times totally opposite results,while placed in the  12 different “rasis”.Again each has some good results and some bad results in each sign.This is an importance aspect of Astrology which must be remembered.You will learn about these results later.While placed at various specific distances from the Surya,the planets Kuja,Budha,Guru,Sukra and Sani become retrograde or appear to move in the backward directions.Surya and Chandra do not have any retrograde motion.The motion of Rahu and Ketu is always opposite to that of the other planets.

VEDIC ASTROLOGY
